ARCH Award pennant

National Recognition

Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (N4) is honored to be one of four programs in the country recognized as an Innovative and Exemplary Respite Service by ARCH National Respite Network!

In addition to the 1,225 individuals we serve each year, we share information and resources through multiple channels:

  • Website: Reaching an average of 5,300 page views per month
  • Facebook: Engaging with an average of 11,000 viewers monthly
  • Instagram: Connecting with an average of 800 viewers monthly
  • E-Newsletter: Delivered to 478 contacts, with an impressive 50% average open rate
  • In-Person Events: Speaking directly with our engaged community at an average of one to two events per month

This prestigious three-year designation includes an honorarium and an invitation to attend the 2025 National Lifespan Respite Conference, in Huntsville, AL, this April. The N4 Community Care program will also be listed on the ARCH website.

And we’re thrilled that N4 Executive Director/Founder, Amy Dewitt-Smith, will be featured as a panelist at the conference, sharing insights on innovative approaches to respite care. Stay tuned for updates and photos from the event!

Transportation providers who have been integrated into the platform and are in the beginning stages of testing the technology before rolling it out to the public in December include:

  • Jump Around Carson (Carson City)
  • RSVP Rural Volunteer Senior Driver Program (Statewide)
  • Get My Ride (Elko)
  • Eureka Senior Center (Eureka)
  • Pleasant Senior Center (Winnemucca)
  • Storey County Senior Center (Virginia City)
  • RTC Washoe (Reno)
  • Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Transit (Nixon)
  • Access to Healthcare Network (Reno)
  • Ely Bus (Ely)
  • Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (Reno)

In addition, Churchill Area Regional Transportation, Numaga Senior Center, and Douglas County Public Transit will be utilizing the platform as additional internal resources become available in 2022.

We also had our first Mobility Leadership Circle meeting on July 29 – bringing together over 50 Nevada transportation providers, advocates, stakeholders, and policy experts at the local and state level to discuss the program, current mobility challenges in the state, and next steps.

The alpha technology has been released in the iOS Apple App and Android Google Play stores for testing by each transportation provider.

Once it is approved by the transportation agencies, it will be then tested by select current passengers. Finally, it will be released to the public for use – anticipated in late November, early December.
