Full Job Description

We’re hiring a full-time Van Driver, who will be responsible for transporting members of the community safely to various locations within Washoe County. Must be 18 years of age with a valid Class C Nevada driver’s license. Must be comfortable working with individuals with disabilities and older individuals from diverse backgrounds who may require assistance with transferring into and out of the vehicle. Ability to work varied shifts and days required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Fantastic customer service skills
  • Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use map technology
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior and a great attitude
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Clean driving record — MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE
  • Must be able to assist individuals with transferring into and out of the vehicle

vaccine prior to working with people served by N4***

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in non-emergency transportation
  • 2 years experience in a customer service-related role
  • Bilingual Spanish

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 Hour Shift

  • Maintain reliable transportation
  • Keyboard and computer skills to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, and databases for communications and record keeping
  • Must be flexible and a team player!
  • Must be willing to travel as needed through rural Nevada (up to 50%)
  • Must show proof of the COVID-19 vaccine or be willing to get the vaccine prior to working with people served by N4
